The Underground
The Underground is a scripted reality TV show. Participants try out to be cast in the show and gain cash compensation and notoriety in their scene if chosen. Each episode follows a different underground music scene in a select American city. Each season will feature a new city. The episodes are meant to be educational, detailing the history of the scene and key figures or locations. The episodes include the initial planning of the event and all the drama that ensues with that, working up to the actual parties, with confessionals from participants in the show. We’re shown a cool montage party scene at the end, and the people who planned the event get to take a group photo commemorating the moment. The example city featured in the pitch deck is Chicago.
